My photographic journey began in the late 90s and early 2000s, experimenting with a very basic Fuji digital camera at a time when the technology was still new and a bit rough around the edges. From there I moved on to some of the first camera phones, accepting their poor image quality but enjoying the convenience and the ability to capture everyday moments almost anywhere.
It was only around five years ago that photography shifted from something casual into a more serious hobby, and I started to think more deliberately about the images you were creating. Another club member introduced me to Paignton Photographic Club and since then I've been exploring editing software, learning how small adjustments to colour, contrast, and composition can transform a photo, and gradually building a more intentional, creative approach to my work.
