New PPC 2019/20 Season Kicks Off

Good to be back with our first club night of the season, all hosted in style by chairman Alex Hamer, with Stuart Chapman kicking off with an overview of the new season, Dave Collerton providing an introduction to the new club website and talks on The Review Group by Rod Fry, Summer School by Chris Arkell and a personal perspective on photography from Ross Elliott. Great also to meet up with prospective new members Anne and Wayne and to find out a little more about their interests for their photography in the future.

14th Oct 'You are the Judge' - a talk by the ever popular Ian Bateman

21st Oct Section 1 Competition Dpi's.  Open theme (don't forget to get your entries in - last date for entry 7th October)

28th Oct Members Review night (with 2 of your dpi's) with a guest judge. Something new for 2019

2019/20 Club Season Starts 23rd September, 2019

The new club season at Paignton Photographic Club kicks off on September 23rd with various members taking the opportunity to discuss some of the new and exciting highlights of the coming season  together with a retrospective of the clubs successes in 2018.  As always, throughout the season you can join us at the hall behind the Methodist Church in Palace Avenue, Paignton from 7:30pm. Non members are always welcome but of course, we hope that you will consider joining the club and helping us make it one, if not the best, photographic club in the region. As a member you will be able to enter club competitions and to represent the club with your images in inter-club and regional competitions. With groups for every level of ability from beginner to advanced, you can feel comfortable that your work has ever opportunity of success within the many competitions that we run throughout the season. More than that, you can be assured of support and help in every aspect of your photography from highly proficient photographers with many years experience to share. Please come along and get involved.

WCPF Inter-Club Print Competition Results

Here are the results of the first WCPF Inter-Club Print Competition held on Sunday 11th August at Dorchester. Congratulations to Torbay on winning the competition, closely followed by Bristol (2nd) and Dorchester (3rd). Full club ranking follows, with Individual Award winners below. If you are interested in photography, want to improve, meet with like-minded people, share interests and expand your friends network, Paignton Photographic Club is a great place to start. We service all of Paignton, Brixham and Torquay with members of all ages and from every walk of life. Monday night meetings focus on improving your photography skills as well as providing you with the opportunity to share your work through competitions and exhibitions. These cater to all skill levels within the club. We also have active Facebook and Instagram page which you can follow if you wish.
